Here are a few ideas from our friends in class 2-225:

* Brendan says that he loves his sister. His sister's name is Jacqueline.

* Abudi says that he has four cousins. One of his cousins has a sister. He forgot the names of his cousins.

* Matthew carved a scary pumpkin a couple of days ago. It had eyebrows, it had a scary mouth, and it was orange. He carved a pumpkin because Halloween is coming up.

* Joseph says that every August 6th, he has a block party. At the block party, he gets to ride on rides like water slides and a bouncer.

Here are some ideas for our blog today:

* Anthony said "I got a new Wii game called Super Smash Brothers." He said that Brothers was actually spelled Bros.

* Dominic said "A few days ago, it was my mom's birthday." When asked what they did, Dominic replied "We went to eat German food."

* Emilio shared that his cat fell out of the window. We asked Emilio if his cat was ok, and he said yes.

* Brandom shared that his cousin and he went to Chuck E. Cheese.

* Joseph is going to get a video game called Call of Duty War at War. Mr. Miller is not sure if he wrote the correct name down. He is getting old and sometimes cannot hear straight.

News for Wednesday

Here are some ideas our class wanted to share for Wednesday:

* Matthew shared with us that he is a wold scout. When we asked him what a wolf scout was, he said it was kind of like a boy scout only for younger kids.

* Michelle said that on Sunday her dad took her to ice skating. When we asked her how long she went ice skating, Michelle said "About 20 minutes."

* Anthony wants to share about his dad. Anthony's dad is a police officer and he likes Elvis.

* Miss Laline shared with us that "Last night, I had a birthday party with my family and we had lemon cake and ice cream." When someone asked her what lemon cake is, Miss Laline said that it is like cake with lemon in it.

* Brendan said that his dad went to a baseball game to see the Yankees. When we asked Brendan if his dad liked the Yankees, Brendan said "Yes."

* Abudi said that on Monday, we watched a movie. When we asked Abudi what the movie was called he said "I don't know." Does anyone else remember the name of the movie? Mike reminded us that the name of the movie is "Snow Buddies".

* Mike said "My dad works with the Staten Island buses." Alexia then asked Michael "What is your dad's name?" Michael replied, "Tommy."

* Mr. Miller is happy that more people are giving some fun ideas for us to write on our classroom blog. He is also happy because tomorrow we will use some computers during broadcasting in class. It will be a happy Thursday!

Here are some ideas from the students in class 2-225:

* Anthony had something to say but he forgot.

* Alexia said "Today is Miss Laline's birthday. She is a year older today."

* Angelina shared that yesterday she got two dolls that are like real girls. That sounds like a cool toy to have.

* Abudi wants to share something but he asked for time to think. No problem, Abudi.

* Brandom said that he told his mom to tell Santa to bring him toys. Brandom is getting a jump on the holiday season.

* Iyana said that her grandmother got hit by a car. When we asked her if her nanny was ok, Iyana said that yes she is.

* Shania's mom told her how old she is. Most of the kids in second grade are either 6, 7, 8, or 9 years old.

* Mr. Miller is looking forward to going ice skating for Halloween next Friday. He really likes to ice skate and will be happy to skate with all his friends from PS 29.

* Brendan mentioned that his mom told him how old she is too. We talked a lot about birthdays today and how old some people are.

Classroom news for Monday 10/19/09

Here are some words from our classmates:

* Faruq said "Last time a big yellow truck crashed into my aunt's car." We hope that Faruq's aunt is ok.

* Alexia says "Tomorrow is my sister's birthday. She is going to be 27." When asked what her sister's name is, Alexia replied "Mayling." Happy birthday to her!

* Brendan said that on Saturday, he saw his brother Michael. Brendan and Michael did not do too much but they had fun.

* Daniela said that last night she went to a movie theater and she saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Daniela thought that the movie was good.

* Joseph says that every year he goes to see monster trucks. "It's like racing and smashing into cars," Joseph told us.

* Willie said that this morning he saw the movie Terminator.

* Serenity said "When my mom got into a car accident and the car behind her couldn't wait. My sister was on the other side where the car crashed and the car behind my mom's car just turned and hit the car that was next to my mom's car. Then, it hit into my mom's car, the side where my sister was."

* Mr. Miller and Ms. Laline are very happy to be looking forward to PS 29's Halloween ice skating event. The event is next Friday at 3:00. We both hope to see you there!
